Lesbian couple in wheelchair marry after 72 years

The two women say it is never too late for a new chapter in life

Mumbai: Lesbian couple who were in wheelchairs, sitting next to each other during the ceremony,  got married in a church after 72 years.

Vivian Boyack and Alice 'Nonie' Dubes married at First Christian Church in Davenport on Saturday.

Miss Boyack, 91, and Miss Dubes, 90, met in their hometown of Yale, Iowa, while growing up.

They moved to Davenport in 1947 where Miss Boyack taught school and Miss Dubes did payroll work.

'We've had a good time,' Miss Dubes said.

The two women say it is never too late for a new chapter in life.
