Hyderabad: As an expression of gratitude to the Lord for granting Telangana statehood, a devotee offered 11,116 coconuts to the Khairatabad ‘Kailasa Ganapati’.
Chandrashekar, the devotee, who is also a TS activist, who had participated in the Telangana movement, said, he had vowed to offer the coconuts, if a separate state was created and he was happy on Monday that he was able to keep his promise. On his request, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao agreed to break the first coconut on the first day of the Ganesh festival.
