Run! Sackboy Run! has been announced for the PlayStation Vita and Mobile platforms
Hyderabad: Sony has announced a brand new Little Big Planet-tie-in-game titled Run! Sackboy Run! for the PlayStation Vita and Mobile platforms. However, what is surprising is that the spin off is actually going to be free to play, raising concerns all around about possible (Probable) microtransactions.

The game sees players survive the wrath of Negativatron across three different environments, The Canyons, The Gardens and Avalonia. This, as you can imagine will work using touch gestures integrated into the platforming mechanics. You make your way across various levels collecting stickers and bubbles with the help of various power-ups like jet packs, shields, magnets etc.

The idea behind the whole game is to include skins and unlocks for the main Little Big Planet 3 which will release for PlayStation 4 in November 2014. As of now,  unfortunately, there is no word on how the games free to play model will work, but I assume it might be something on the lines of a premium currency to unlock powerups to reach certain “locked” parts of a level to get the maximum loot for unlocks.

Either way, the game will be free come  October for PlayStation Vita, Android and IOS and warrants at least a few good tries regardless of the microtransaction model.
