Washington: A new device has been launched which enables users to control their feet's temperature via their smartphones.

The device, called Digitsole, fits inside one's shoes just like any other shoe-sole. Digitsole connects via Bluetooth, and lets users adjust the temperature from a smartphone app.

The ingenious device comes with a battery life of 8 hours, and can heat up to maximum 40 degrees. The device not just adjusts the temperature, but also tracks one's daily activity levels and then sends it to the connected smartphone.

However, the gadget is currently trying to raise funds on the Kickstater website and has already received over 31,000 dollars of its 40,000 dollars target.

Karim Oumnia, Digitsole Engineer, said that it is fantastic to finally be bringing Digitsole to Kickstarter. Being able to offer a product that combines multiple health benefits and cutting-edge technology is a great prospect.

Functions of Digitsole

Warm your feet - Connect your insoles with the app to access the warm up function and activate heat. You can then adjust the temperature of each of your insoles separately by adjusting the slide temperature bar up or down.

Track your day - Through the Digitsole app you can track how many steps you take during the day, the distance walked as well as the altitude.

Calories burned - Check how many calories you’ve burned throughout the day via the app.
