Hyderabad: Big films target festivals and holidays for their release. But actor Ram Charan will be enjoying one of Tollywood’s rarest phenomenons, a huge six-day string of holidays, right after the release of Govindudu Andari Vaadele, on October 1. And producer Bandla Ganesh is waiting to cash in. “Yes, we knew that there is a long holiday and because of that we announced that Govindudu Andari Vaadele will be released on October 1,” he says.

While October 1 is a restricted holiday, 2 is Gandhi Jayanti, the next day is Dasara, then comes the weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday is Bakrid.

Also, Charan’s dad, Chiranjeevi is personally monitoring the progress of the movie. With the unit still shooting in the UK, Chiru is keeping an eye on promotion strategies and more. In an earlier interview to DC, Chiranjeevi had revealed that Charan was indeed worried about his film’s trailer release and had asked him to check if everything was right.

“Though he is shooting there, his mind is here on the post-production work. So, he asked me to check on that too,” revealed Chiru.

About possible collections, the market is abuzz with big numbers. Giving tough competition to Charan is Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu, which is releasing on September 19.   If Mahesh manages to score good reviews, there’s a high chance his film too may enter the big six-day race.
