Jammu and Kashmir floods: 549 people from Karnataka stranded

75 are reportedly safe, 14 people have reached Amritsar, while 12 have gone to Delhi

Bengaluru: The state disaster management authority has listed 549 people from Karnataka stranded in different parts of flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. Of them, 75 are reportedly safe. Fourteen people have reached Amritsar, while 12 have gone to Delhi, authority officers said.
 
They are expected to arrive in Bengaluru by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. Since the mobile telecom services have been restored in the Valley, those who are trapped have been able to contact their anxious relatives back home since Tuesday afternoon.
