Sensex, Nifty head towards lowest close in nearly two weeks

The 30-share Sensex fell 0.4 percent while Nifty was down 0.3 percent

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex and the broader Nifty were trading in the red on Thursday, heading towards their lowest close in nearly two weeks.

The 30-share Sensex fell 0.4 percent while the broader Nifty was down 0.3 percent as of 11:45 a.m. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries was down 4 percent on reports of surprise U.S. FDA inspection.

Also, overseas investors sold equity futures worth $260.85 million on Wednesday. Falls were also tracking lower Asian shares on continued Fed worries and after the U.S. President Barack Obama vowed to fight Islamic State militants.
