Khammam: MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday charged Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of failing to give clarity on the loan waiver to farmers.

Addressing a Runamafi dharna at Naguloncha here, Mr Vikramarka said that farmers were now going to pawn brokers for loans as the banks had rejected their crop loan applications. He said that the CM’s was just doing lip service and not doing anything for peoples’ welfare.
He said that the state government was not doing anything to prevent farmers from committing suicides.

“It’s imperative that KCR stands by the promises made in the TRS manifesto and at all public meetings,” Mr Vikrama-rka said. He said that it was very unfortunate that the CM could not fulfil his key promise made to the people.

The MLA said that Mr Rao’s indecision would put farmers in financial trouble as they were hopeful that the new government would waive their loans. Farmers from different villages attended to the meeting.
Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on Khammam-Bonakal road as the Congress activists blocked it.
