Sundaram Clayton Ltd elevates Sudarshan as joint MD

Chennai: Sundaram Clayton Ltd (SCL), holding company of TVS Motors, has appointed Sudarshan Ve-nu and Lakshmi Venu, children of Venu Srinivasan and Mallika Srinivasan, as the joint managing directors of the company.

“Considering the incre-asing business of the company, the board of directors had approved the appointments, said a company statement.

Presently, Lakshmi Ve-nu holds the post of director, strategy in the rank of MD and Sudarshan Venu is a non-executive director of SCL.

Sudarshan Venu was elevated to the post of JMD of TVS Motor Company on Wednesday, while Lakshmi Venu was appointed as additional non-executive director of the company.  There is no role for TAFE chairperson Malli-ka Srinivasan in the company as reported earlier. She has not joined the board of TVS Motor Company in any capacity.
