SIO: Make Hyderabad into research hub

Karimnagar: National President Ashfaq Shareef of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) said that the government should strive hard to address problems of student community in the newly formed state of Telangana.

He was addressing the gathering at a meeting held by the SIO here on Thursday. He said that, “Since the current academic year is the maiden academic year for the students, all stake holders of education, especially civil society and government should focus on providing quality education. Innovation and research oriented study should be promoted among students community of this state.”

He urged the government and educationists involved to make the subject of social studies more inclusive in order to educate the students about different communities and religions in the state and country and to maintain amicable societal relations. Government should devise policies to encourage students take up humanities with enthusiasm, he said.
