Youth ends life over ill health
When his father entered the room he was shocked to find Santhosh hanging from the ceiling

Coimbatore: Apparently frustrated at his ill-health, a BSC second year student hanged himself to death in his residence in the city on Thursday morning. According to Race course police, 22-year-old Santhosh, son of Shanmugam from Jothi Nagar in Palaiyur in Pappanaickenpalayam in the city, was studying BSC Computer science second year in a private arts and science college in Peelamedu.
His father Shanmugam works as a daily wage labourer in an engineering workshop in the city. Police said that on Wednesday night, Santhosh had dinner with his family members and went to sleep inside his room.
On Thursday at around 4.30 am, when Shanmugam entered his son's room, he was shocked to find Santhosh hanging from the ceiling. Race course police who rushed to the spot recovered the body and sent it to the Coimbatore Medical college hospital for postmortem.
Police recovered a suicide note in which Santhosh stated that he had continuous headache for a long time and was depressed over the illness, hence he was committing suicide.
Race course police registered a case and are investigating further.
