Karthik Gowda keeps 6 am date with police
Policemen, who took Karthik, were in plain clothes so as not to draw attention of media
Bengaluru: Three days after securing bail in a rape and cheating case, Karthik Gowda appeared before the RT Nagar police on Friday to record his statement and regularise his bail, even as the police bent over backwards to accommodate Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda's son.
Being a minister's son has its own advantages, and the policemen were extra cautious in not letting the media know about his visit to the police station. Though not normal, the policemen were in attendance at the station at 6.15 am to receive Karthik and to complete the formalities. Also, the policemen, who took him to Ambedkar Hospital for medical tests, were in plain clothes so as not to draw the attention of the public and the media.
Around 8 am at the hospital, the Forensic Laboratory section was made available for Karthik Gowda within 15 minutes of him stepping in.
