Menu announced for Anna canteens

In the initial stage, a total of 35 canteens would be opened in four places in the state

Anantapur: Idly, Ragi Sankati with Neella pappu and chutney (curries) would be the menu in breakfast, sambar rice, pulihora and curd rice in lunch and two chapathis, vegitable and dal curry would be served in dinner at the Anna canteens to be launched in 35 centres in the state soon.  Tiffin and meal would be served at cheaper rates. In the initial stage, a total of 35 canteens would be opened in four places in  the state.

A meeting was held on Friday under civil supplies minister Paritala Sunitha and IT minister Palle Raghunath Reddy to finalise the menu for Anna canteens. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Sunitha announced the menu to be served at the NTR canteens proposed at government hospital, railway station, APSRTC bus stand and Tadipatri bus stand premises. Recalling the system of Amma canteens in Tamil Nadu, Ms Sunitha said the canteens were running successfully and feeding the poor people, who visit the state capital and district head quarters on their works.
