NCP legislator Laxman Dhoble booked on rape charge
The victim has alleged that the accused raped her between 2011 and 2013
Mumbai: The Borivali police is probing a series of allegations made by a 42-year-old woman against former Maharashtra minister Laxman Dhoble, 55, of the NCP, who she said raped her over a period of two years. She said that was scared to fight Dhoble, as he is a leader of the ruling party. The MLA has been booked on charges of rape and other offences.
The victim is a staffer in a college where Dhoble is a trustee. Both are accused in a cheating case registered against them earlier this year by several students who paid fees in the college, but were denied admission later.
According to the police, the victim has alleged that the accused raped her between 2011 and 2013 and intimidated her to keep her mouth shut.
