Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra is not someone who minces words. The young actress may be enjoying a comfortable spell in the industry but she’s candid enough to admit that money indeed plays an important role in the scheme of things.

More so, when one is living without their parents in a city like Mumbai. She says, “I have always been independent in my thinking. I take all my decisions alone because I don’t have my family with me in Mumbai. I can’t deny the importance of money because I have to run my house.”

Pari is happy with the projects coming her way but she doesn’t like the way the audience is judgmental about actors. “People are not just judgmental, they are also narrow-minded and rigid. Some people say that I can only do small-town roles, which is funny because of the four films I have done, in two I played a small-town girl. People have a tunnel vision and that is unfortunate,” she says.

But when it gets too much for her, Parineeti likes to pack her bags and set off on holidays. “I am having an explosive affair with travelling,” she says. “It could even be a place in Mumbai that I’ve never seen. I really have this undying thirst to see the whole world, so I continue to take a break even if I get just two days off from work. I’ve recently taken up scuba diving and I love exploring the underwater world. So currently, when I am not shooting, scuba diving takes up all my time.”
