Lucknow: BJP MP Sachchidanand Sakshi Maharaj, on Sunday added fuel to the raging controversy over love jihad when he said that mada-rasas imparting the ‘education of terrorism.’ “The madarasas are manufacturing terrorists and jihadis.

The education of terrorism is being given in these madarasas which is not in national interest. Love jihad prospers through such institutions,” he said. Sakshi Maharaj, known for his controversial background, alleged that students were not being taught about nationalism in these schools. “Can anyone name even one madarasa where the national flag is hoisted on Independence Day and Republic Day? These madarasas have no concern or respect for nationalism even though they avail government aid,” he stated.

He further said that governments give financial aid to madarasas but most of other schools do not get this aid. The Samajwadi Party lashed out at the BJP for stoking communal passions and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against the BJP MP.
