Canvas A1 is the first Android One smartphone by Micromax
Mumbai: Micromax has finally unveiled its first Android One smartphone-Canvas A1, which is exclusively available on Amazon. The dual-SIM Canvas A1 handset features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4. Operating system, which is manufactured under the Android One program by Google. Its onboard storage capacity is 4GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It also sports a 5MP rear snapper, featuring a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. The rear camera also comes with options like digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash.
The company claims that its rear snapper can record full HD videos in 1080p resolution and play high definition videos. On the other hand, the handset also sports a 2MP fixed focus 1600 x 1200 pixel shooter meant for selfie shots.
The new Micromax Android One smartphone comes pre-loaded with Hangout, YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, Google Translate, Google Now, Maps etc. It is also compatible with audio and video formats like MP4, 3GPP, 3GP, MP3, WAV, AAC and more.
Canvas A1 is fuelled with 1700mAh, which supposedly can last up to 6 hours of talk time and 160 standby time. Micromax Canvas A1 Android One smartphone is priced at Rs 6,499 exclusively on amazon.in.
