I feel violated as a woman: Deepika Padukone fights back
Actor's acidic response to TOI's 'cleavage' post has been lauded by Bollywood, social media
Mumbai: “I feel violated as a woman,” says actress Deepika Padukone who has taken on Times of India (TOI) for publishing a photograph of hers that revealed her cleavage.
The actress said that the publication had tweeted this photo a year ago two days after the event from which it was taken. “I had let it go then. But why publish it again a year after the event? For eyeballs? As actors, we go through a lot of scrutiny, criticism. I have the spine to absorb this kind of negativity,” she said.
