Hyderabad: More than 30 police personnel, including SHOs, SIs, COs and ACPs, met the committee on women's safety on Monday and said that they are not able to find enough time for investigation of cases owing to additional responsibilities of VIP movement security and bandobast works. They wanted that a separate agency for VIP security be set up.

“With just about seven per cent of the total police force being represented by women, the cops suggested that more women personnel be hired. They also wanted the compulsory appointment of women home guards or constables at every police station. Separate toilets for women constables were also sought,” said Poonam Malakondaiah, Committee for Women's Safety.
