Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu pulled up the ministers when he was informed that Anna canteens as well as allotment of sand reaches to Dwcra women will not be able to start from October 2. Labour minister K. Atchennaidu told him that for allotting sand reaches, that state government will have to take permission from the Central government as sand mining is banned in view of environment issues. “What were you doing all these days? Why did you not bring this issue to my notice,” Mr Naidu said. On the issue of Anna Canteen, the ministers said they have not yet visited Chennai to study the Amma canteens there. Mr Naidu asked the Ministers of the Cabinet sub-committee on corruption what decisions they have taken so far. Mr Atchennaidu said that they gave report on Lepakshi hub and Vanpic lands and the Chief Minister has to take the final decision.
