Heavy rains lash Hyderabad City
A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for one / two places in the districts of Srikakulam
Hyderabad: Sudden showers lashed the twin cities on Monday, causing water-logging at many traffic junctions. The city recorded an average of 7.6 mm rainfall. Areas like Tarnaka, LB Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar, Secunderabad, Marredpally, Patny Circle received the most rainfall. Traffic came to a standstill at most of these places and commuters faced a lot of inconvenience.
Saidabad received the highest amount of rainfall with 26.25 mm, followed by Chilkalguda (25.25 mm), LB Nagar (16.50 mm), Uppal (15.50 mm) and Amberpet with 15.25 mm. Areas including Jubilee Hills, Rajendranagar, Ramachandrapuram and others did not receive any rainfall.
A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for one or two places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, whereas light to moderate showers would occur at places in Telangana.
