Visakhapatnam: The nine-year-old boy, Korubilli Damodhar, who was kidnapped and rescued after a week, recounted his   tale of horror on Tuesday.

Damodhar said that on   September 8 he accompanied an acquaintance, a 16-year-old boy, on a bicycle, to witness immersion of Ganesh idol at a nearby   place.

Two kidnappers, K Keshava Rao, 32, and Konthala   Chendrashekhar, 23, who were already present at the place, tried to lure   Damodhar with the promise of chocolates to which Damodhar refused.

Following this, the kidnappers forcefully took away him first in an autorickshaw, then on a bike to a nearby hill and after a trek, took him to   a ramshackle hut on top of the hill.  Damodhar said, “I used to hear sounds of people and I was planning to escape. However, the place used to get utter dark and scary in the nights, so I dropped the plan.”

When asked if he cried during the ordeal, he said, “I wanted to cry but I suppressed my feelings. I once told them that I am bored and want to   go to the beach because I thought escaping from there would be easier.   However, they did not heed to my request.”
