60 seats sanctioned for nursing school
This comes as a part of 100 MBBS seat being sanctioned by goverment

Ongole: The state has sanctioned 60 nursing seats to the government nursing school attached to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Ongole and issued orders to this effect on Wednesday. The seats would be filled very soon. Those who passed Intermediate with Biology or those working as ANMs may also apply. Applications can be downloaded from the RIMS website. Applications may be submitted online also.
The RIMS management has already set up a help desk to help the students.Meanwhile, the RIMS officials are planning to fulfil requirements of the Medical Council of India to get seats in the postgraduate level. The officials have taken steps to fulfil the MCI norms to get the PG seats.
It may be mentioned that the government had sanctioned 100 MBBS seats to the RIMS. The government has recently released Rs 22 crore for constructing a hostel building and to improve facilities.
The government issued a G.O. to fill the vacancies for 59 associate professors and assistant professors and other posts in the medical college. The officials are waiting for administrative approval for filling the posts.
