Hyderabad: Alleging continuing conspiracies against Telangana by some Andhraites, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday asserted he would thwart their game plan.

Dubbing AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s promise to organise official functions to commemorate Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 if the party came to power in Telangana as “bogus”, the CM said, “KCR is not scared of conspiracies. Those spreading lies should understand this. I faced traitors for 14 years and achieved Telangana. None had confidence in me when I took up the struggle, more so in Mahbubnagar district. Some Andhra leaders are still trying to dominate us. We should be alert and move forward united,” he remarked.

He added, “I will strive for the development of Telangana with your cooperation till my last drop of blood. I said Telangana would be achieved and we have achieved it.”

Mr Chandrasekhar Rao addressed a series of meetings after inaugurating two MNCs and laying the foundation stone for another unit in Mahbubnagar on Thursday. Taking a dig at both Telugu Desam and Congress for demanding the TRS government to organise Liberation Day officially, he asked why the Congress and TD, which had ruled the state for 58 years, had not done it earlier.

“They didn’t celebrate it officially when they were in power. TD was in power for nine years and the Congress for 40 plus years. Now they are indulging in parrot talk and trying to blame us for everything. We are just 100 days old,” he said, adding, “They should be careful when they talk. People are very smart. People achieved Telangana after a bitter fight. They know who is doing what.”

On a different issue, KCR predicted huge investments by MNCs and other companies in Telangana in the coming days. “I see a flood of new industries in the state. We are bringing in the worlds No 1 industrial policy and a single window scheme, which will be appreciated by global investors. We will ensure hassle free and graft free clearances in a fortnight’s time. The power situation will ease by the next year and there will be 24x7 power supply after three years,” he remarked.

Urging MNCs to establish new units in the state and provide maximum jobs to locals, the CM thanked Cogent Glass Limited, Proctor & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson for investing in the state and also for planning expansions.

“I assure you the government’s full support in your expansion plans. I thank Mr Ashok Sudan (CEO Cogent) for providing 70 per cent jobs to locals. I request other companies too to ensure good quantum of jobs to locals,” he said.

Assuring to personally monitor all investments and clearances, KCR exuded confidence that Telangana would be the No. 1 state in the country in the development arena.

Making a special mention of Proctor & Gamble, he said, “You see ads of soaps, shampoos and other items daily on TV. They are selling products in 150 countries. We welcome them whole heartedly and ensure the best of facilities.”

Promising plug and play type facilities to investors, he said the the government would provide land, water, power, roads and other infrastructure facilities and ensure clearances in 15 days.

Mahabubnagar MP, Mr Jitender Reddy and local legislators and other TRS leaders participated in the programmes.
