Hyderabad:  The state government is not at all pleased with the “political remarks” made against Telangana in the letter sent by L&T Metro Rail managing director V.B. Gadgil to the state government, which was leaked to media on Wednesday.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have directed the officials to lodge a strong protest against Mr Gadgil’s remarks against the formation of Telangana state and about Hyderabad losing its significance minus AP. He has asked them to take up the issue with the top management of the company, seeking stringent action against Mr Gadgil for his “political overtones”.

Mr Rao is of the opinion that Mr Gadgil’s remarks against Telangana and Hyderabad were totally uncalled for and had nothing to do with the Metro project. Highly-placed sources revealed that Mr Rao himself took Mr Gadgil to task on Wednesday when the latter met him.
