New Delhi: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi having already raised the issue of Chinese incursions in Ladakh with Chinese President Xi Jinping, India on Saturday said it was carefully following the process initiated by Mr. Modi and that an outcome was awaited. The MEA also said,  “Diplomacy is not an instant coffee. It works in ways that it is difficult for the people who are not engaged with it to perceive and understand what is happening.

You are aware that India has taken it up at the highest level...Therefore allow this process to function. ...I assure you that the process that was initiated by the Prime Minister is being carefully followed and we are awaiting an outcome,” the MEA spokesperson said on Saturday. During Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised India’s “serious concern over repeated incidents along the border” and had “suggested that clarification of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) would greatly contribute to our efforts to maintain peace and tranquillity.”
