Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have commissioned a new Laddu-Boondi conveyor system
Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams commissioned a new Laddu-Boondi conveyor system for the easy shifting of the most sought after laddu prasadams of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Saturday.TTD joint executive officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju inaugurated the conveyor system which has a capacity to transfer over five lakh laddus a day.
 
Speaking to media persons after inaugurating the new facility, Mr Srinivasa Raju said that two conveyor systems were installed at the temple in 2007 and 2010, out of which one system transfers laddus alone, the other system helps transfer both laddus and boondi.
 
The TTD JEO Srinivasa Raju  pointed out that in order to avoid inconvenience during the breakdown of either of the machinery, the new conveyor system worth around Rs45 lakh was installed which helps enhance the overall capacity to transfer up to eight lakh laddus every day.Tirumala temple deputy EO Chinnamgari Ramana and other officials of the TTD also took part at the inauguration.
