Vijayawada: In an incident that tensed everyone, a Class IX boy and a Class VIII girl reportedly eloped from their houses in Kothapeta on Sunday. Parents of the girl who is native of Kothapeta on Sunday morning lodged a complaint alleging that their daughter was missing since Saturday night.
According to information, the boy and the girl are studying in a high school located at Vinnakotavari Chouk in old city. The boy and the girl who were in love since a few months decided to elope and friends of the boy came forward to help them. It is said that the boy’s friends collected over Rs 5,000 and a sim card and gave them to the boy for travel and other expenses.
Kothapeta inspector P. Venkateswarulu said that the boy and girl are in very tender age and are unaware of what they did. The boy is a native of Vizag and is studying in Vijayawada while staying in his aunt’s house. The boy, the girl and their friends live in same area, he said. A missing case was registered against the girl following complaint given by her parents.
