Senior Inspector tries to 'settle' gangrape case in Hyderabad
Senior Inspector pressurised the family to get the 15-year-old minor married to the rapist
Hyderabad: A gangrape victim’s mother approached the Deputy Chief Minister alleging that the Kanchanbagh police Senior Inspector took a bribe of Rs 10,000 from her and tried to “settle” the rape case.
The 15-year-old minor girl from Hafizbabanagar had allegedly been raped by two men a month ago. The victim’s mother complained that Senior Inspector Md. Aijazuddin had pressurised her to take back the case and had also asked her daughter to get married to the rapist.

Meanwhile, police denied the allegations and said that they had arrested one accused after booking a case and search for the second accused was on. They said that it was a “love affair turned rape case”.
