Suspicious death turns murder
They called him for discussion after which all of them consumed liquor
Hyderabad: The suspicious death, at MLA Colony, in Banjara Hills, has turned out to be a murder.
Few days ago, a body was found in an open plot. The deceased was identified as Mohammed Ahmed, 30, an autorickshaw driver. The victim had a fight with another autorickshaw driver over a comment about his wife. The accused bore grudge and killed him and then burnt the body.
Ahmed, and the prime accused in the case, Mohammed Ghouse, were old friends. Sometime ago, during one of their conversations, Ghouse passed some objectionable comment on the victim’s wife which sparked a fight between the two.
Sources said Ghouse and five of his associates hatched a plot to eliminate Ahmed. They called him for discussion after which all of them consumed liquor. “They had a tiff and following a heated argument, the accused hit Ahmed with boulder. He sustained grave injuries and instantly died. They later burnt the body in the plot,” said P. Murali Krishna, inspector of police, Banjara Hills.
The locals got foul smell from the garbage dump and alerted the police. Cops recovered a highly decomposed body hidden beneath coconut tree branches. The body was burnt beyond recognition and the cops preserved the DNA samples for tracing and investigation. Earlier, it was alleged that the municipality scavengers, who didn’t notice the body in the garbage dump, burnt it. However, cops clarified that the accused had burnt the body.
