Joint executive officer reviews works for Lord’s ritual

Foolproof arrangements are in place for the festival

Tirumala: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams joint executive officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju reviewed the ongoing arrangements for the mega spiritual carnival, the Brahmotsavams, slated to get underway from September 26.

The JEO, who held a review with the health and revenue department officials at Tirumala on Monday, directed them to ensure foolproof arrangements are in place for the festival that draws millions of devotees from across the globe.

The JEO instructed the officials to direct the hoteliers at Tirumala to maintain hygiene and cleanliness at their hotel premises despite a heavy influx of visiting pilgrims.

Mr Raju instructed the revenue department officials to ensure that the hoteliers do not charge exorbitant prices for food from the visiting devotees.

Mr Raju asked the health department officials to hold regular checks at the hotels to ensure quality food is served to the multitude of visiting devout.

Meanwhile, the Junior Executive Officer who inspected the arrangements at various places at Tirumala told media persons that the new “Koluvu Mandapam” will come into use from September 27.
