Entrepreneurs await new industrial policy for subsidies
Ongole: The government has tak-en steps to provide infrastructure in the industrial corridor at Donakonda to set up industries to provide employment opportunities to the youth in the backdrop of division of the state.
The government has decided to extend the existing Addanki-Narket-palli four lane highway up to Donakonda.
Sources in the state Cabinet informed that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has already discussed with his Cabinet colleagues and decided to develop infrastructure at Donakonda.
He directed the officials to take steps to extend the four lane road up to Dona-konda and instructed the officials set up an electrical sub-station to provide power connections to the industries to be set up in the industrial corridor. The government has a proposal to supply water to the industries from the Veligonda project.
It may be mentioned that the Tatas, Birla Group and representatives of the Reliance group of industries met Mr Chandrababu Naidu and expressed their willingness to set up industries in the state.
An industrialist met Mr Naidu with a proposal to set up cars manufacturing unit at Donakonda.
The government has already directed the officials to take steps to set up airport at Donakonda for the convenience of the industrialists those who set up industries.
Meanwhile, the entrepreneurs are waiting for new industrial policy to be announced by the government to get concessions and subsidies to set up industries.
The government has taken steps to introduce 24x7 power supply to the domestic consumers and industries and higher officials are feeling that it will attract the entrepreneurs to set up industries. The government has decided to develop the Ramayapatnam port for the convenience of exporters.
