Chandrababu Naidu proposes to set up tourism university in Andhra Pradesh

The university will be built following the New Zealand model

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has proposed to set up a university on travel and tourism in the state.

At a review meeting with the officials on Tuesday, Mr Naidu  directed the tourism department to examine the possibility of setting up such a university on the lines of  travel and tourism university in AP, following the model of  New Zealand’s travel and tourism university.

He also emphasised on introduction of courses like tourism, health, cooking, transport, skill development in universities in general.

Announcing a task force to tour different countries, Mr Naidu said the task force will note down the best practices of all the places and report those to the Chief Minister so that those can be adopted in AP as well.

An apex body headed by Mr Naidu will monitor the work of the task force.
