HyderabadYSR Congress Legislature Party leader in Telangana Assembly Thati Venkateswarlu is set to join the TRS. Mr Venkateswarlu met Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday and offered to join the party. If it works out, he will be the second MLA from the three-member YSR Congress after Wyra MLA Madan Lal joined the TRS recently.

In fact, Mr Venkateswarlu went to Mr Rao to represent to him about the recent attack on him by Eluru MP Maganti Babu’s followers in his Aswaraopet constituency in Khammam district.
TRS sources said that Mr Rao invited the YSR Congress MLA to join the party to which he agreed.

TRS sources also say that at least 10 MLAs from the Opposition are set to join the TRS after Dasara. Sources say among the 10, majority are from Telugu Desam and the rest are from the Congress and YSR Congress. Recently two Congress MLAs, out of 21, had joined the TRS.

Meanwhile, TD leader in Telangana Assembly Erraballi Dayakar Rao on Tuesday confirmed that he had met Mr Rao two days ago.
On Monday, Mr Rao had denied media reports that he had met the CM on Sunday night.

On Tuesday, however, Mr Dayakar Rao said he had met the CM along with a few others on an apolitical issue. “I am telling you all today, I have been in Telugu Desam for the last 30 years, I will not leave the party and I have no plans to switch,” Mr Dayakar Rao said.

However, he confirmed his differences with TD le-gislator A. Revanth Reddy on the issue of dragging My Home’s Rameswara Rao into the Metro Rail land allotment controversy.
