Mumbai: A joke with the punch line "your sister's being raped" from a 'Family Guy' and ' The Simpsons' crossover episode has sparked outrage before its release. Reportedly, the show which is aired by The Fox network in The United States has not yet responded to suggestions that it edit the episode and remove the joke. The line appears in the much-awaited special where Bart Simpson and his family hang around with Stewie and the rest of the Family Guy crew. It punctuates a scene in which Bart is instructing Stewie Griffin in the art of the prank phone call. Bart Simpson and Stewie Griffin prank-call Moe’s Tavern, something Bart has done for a quarter of a century or more now. Bart asks whether there is anyone there with the last name Ki-Bum, first name Lee. When Moe calls out to his patrons, asking for a "leaky bum," everyone gets a laugh. Stewie thinks that's cool, and asks to make his own prank call.

"Hello, Moe?" he says. "Your sister's being raped."

Both cartoon shows are known for their edgy humor. Bart Simpson, is the modern “Dennis the Menace,” and even though the shock value died off,  'The Simpsons' remains one of the longest running cartoon shows in history. 'The Family Guy' on the other hand is known for its regular cut scenes with offensive and sometimes gory punchlines. Apparently the critics weren't ready for the two shows to collide, but when they did, they have produced a joke so offensive it’s now the subject of a possibly major Simpsons Family Guy crossover controversy.
