Hyderabad: Mystery shrouds the kidnap of 10-year-old boy Y. Karunakar as the police is still in the dark regarding the motive behind the abduction.

The kidnapper has not sought money or revealed the motive, even though he called up the victim hours after taking away the boy. The police suspect a relative must have committed the offence to take revenge on the family.

“The parents are also confused why their kid was kidnapped. But, since the eyewitnesses say the kid has not put up any resistance in going with the kidnapper, we suspect a known person behind it.

We have been inquiring with their relatives to find their involvement,” said Chandrayangutta police Inspector N. Rama Rao.

A Class 4 student was kidnapped by a biker at Chandrayangutta while he was on his way to school on Tuesday. The kidnapper called his mother and said that the boy was with him, however, he did not seek any ransom. A local saw the kid going with a stranger on a bike.
