MP seeks amenities at Duvvada, Anakapalli

Issues faced by people of Anakapalli with regard to railways were raised by the MP

MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao raised long pending several issues faced by people of Anakapalli
Visakhapatnam: Anakapalli MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao convened a meeting with the divisional railway manager, South Central Railway, Vijayawada and  deputy commercial manager, East Coast Railways and other railway officials from the SC and East Coast Railways on Tuesday at Agriculture Research Station, Anakapalli. 
 
At the meeting, several long-pending issues faced by people of Anakapalli with regard to railways were raised by the MP. Laying of separate railway lines between Kothavalasa junction and Tuni via Devarapalle, Madugulla and Narasipatnam to facilitate railway connectivity to the remote villages of Anakapalli was mooted at the meeting. Along with this, the development of basic amenities at Yelaman-chili and Narasipatnam was also mooted. 
 
Along with this, halt of various express trains was requested at Duvv-ada and Anakapalli for the comfort of passengers who live on the outskirts of Vizag to which the DRM agreed to send proposals to the general manager. The DRM said that action has been initiated to ensure that the Kakinada-Visakhapatnam passenger runs on time along with promising to give permission within 20 days to lay water pipelines at railway crossings so that the rural water supply drinking water mega project can resume.
 
The MP urged the DRM for providing various facilities at Duvv-ada railway station incl-uding construction of platform-4, ticket booking counter, toilets, foot-over-bridge, compound wall, parking lots and other amenities.
