Tirumala: With just a few hours left for the biggest spiritual carnival – the Brahmotsavam of Lord Venkateswara – to get underway at Tirumala, the TTD administration called upon the Srivari Seva volunteers to dedicate themselves in the service of the devotees at Tirumala during the nine-day Brahmotsavam festivities.
Over 3,500 Srivari Sevaks were brainstormed by the top brass of the TTD at the Asthana Mandapam in Tirumala on Thursday. Appreciating the Sevaks for offering impeccable services to the pilgri-ms, the temple administration told them that they are blessed to sanctify their lives in the abode of Lord Venkateswara through devout service.
Meanwhile, TTD chief vigilance and security officer G. Srinivas Rao asked the volunteers to keep a strong vigil on suspicious persons and their movements. He asked them to immediately get in touch with the toll free number “18004254141”, in case they spot something suspicious.
He also asked the volunteers to ensure the visiting devotees do not climb up trees, or risky buildings to catch a glimpse of the Lord’s procession during the fete.
