KOZHIKODE: The central home ministry will soon notify a CBI investigation in to the murder of RSS activist Manoj, said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today at Kathirur. Among high emotional drama, Rajnath visited the house of slain RSS activist at Kathirur and held discussions with Manoj’s brothers and family. Rajnath said the Union Government has taken a serious note of the incident and requested all parties to co-operate to bring back peace among cadres.

“The political parties should engage in ideological wars and not physical wars,” Rajnath told reporters after meeting the family. Union Home Minister also visited the RSS Karyalay in Diamond Mukku near Kathirur.

Union Home Minister patiently gave a hearing to Manoj’s family members who had told him that Manoj and his family had been continuously harassed by the CPM cadres. Rajnath gave them assurance that justice will finally prevail and his family will indeed get justice. He spent almost 20 minutes and then made a quick fire visit to the RSS Karyalay at Diamond Mukku.

Police sources said Rajnath initially planned to visit RSS office at Thalassery but later changed it to Diamond Mukku following advice from the police. “It was risky to take the home minister to such a long distance by road and we advised him against it. So the venue was finally changed to Diamond Mukku,” a senior police officer said.

Earlier Rajnath Singh landed at Kozhikode International Airport by a special flight around 3.15 pm and took a chopper to Kannur. He landed at the Nirmalagiri College helipad and took the road route to Manoj’s house.
