London: Pop star Lady Gaga has described collaborating with Tony Bennett as a form of rebellion.

The 28-year-old singer said that working with Bennett on their duets album Cheek to Cheek allowed her to showcase her "true" voice, reported Daily Mirror. "I've been waiting for this moment and I was excited to be rebellious against my pop career," she said.

"I'm very overwhelmed. People are hearing my true voice for the first time so I feel very vulnerable." Gaga expressed her gratitude to Bennett, saying that he has brought out the best in her talent. She has even had a trumpet tattoo done, a design based on a drawing by Bennett.

"I wanted to remember this moment forever. I wanted this tattoo to be the biggest because for me this is the biggest moment in my life. "I'm really grateful to Tony for personal things. I think I sing better on stage with Tony even than I do in the studio."

Bennett and Gaga's jazz duets album Cheek to Cheek was released last week.
