Night Bazaar inaugurated
The bazaar was inaugurated on occasion of World Tourism Day

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation observed World Tourism Day on Saturday by providing attractive discounts in accommodation at its Haritha group of resorts and hotels. Along with this, it also convinced many star hotels in the city to offer a discount of 15 per cent in accommodation to mark the occasion. On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the much-touted Night Bazaar at Shilparamam on the lines of that in Hyderabad was started in the city to bring out the nocturnal shoppers.
At an event by the APTDC at RK Beach, minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao reinforced the commitment of the state government in developing Vizag as a tourism hub of the state. A programme was also held at the Viswapriya Function Hall on the Beach Road by the APTDC to mark the international event by hosting a variety of cultural programmes and offering attractive discounts at food stalls. A painting competition was also organised for children which was inaugurated by the disctrict collector Dr N. Yuvaraj.
