Mohali: The hosts Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) face Cape Cobras (CC) in the 17 th game of Champions League T20 at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

Live cricket score is coming soon.

Following a hat-trick of comprehensive wins, Kings XI Punjab are already booked their spot in the semifinals of CLT20. While a win or loss tonight won’t threaten their place in the final four, the George Bailey-led unit on the bank of their in-form batsmen and bowlers would be keen to maintain a hundred per cent record.

Cape Cobras, on the other hand, have had tough times in CLT20 so far. They have lost two games and won one. However, they can still make it to the semifinals if they outplay KXIP in Mohali tonight.

Key players:

Glenn Maxwell:

Maxwell somehow missed out during KXIP’s run-fest against Northern Knights. However, he is not someone who would feel bogged down by a failure. And hence, it would be too surprising if he unleashes himself on Cobras.

Hashim Amla:

His class, elegance and status would be under no threat even if he does not score heavily in this tournament. However, Cobras would be glad to see their opener and main batsman to bat long and well. If that happens, their chances of beating KXIP would get a major boost.

Squads:

Kings XI Punjab: George Bailey (captain), Thisara Perera, Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Akshar Rajesh Patel, Karanveer Singh, Lakshmipathy Balaji, Manan Vohra, Mandeep Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Virender Sehwag, Wriddhiman Saha (wicketkeeper), Anureet Singh, Parvinder Awana.

Cape Cobras: Hashim Amla, J P Duminy, Justin Kemp, Rory Kleinveldt, Charl Langeveldt, Richard Levi, Aviwe Mgijima, Justin Ontong (captain), Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, Dane Piedt, Zakhele Qwabe, Omphile Ramela, Stiaan Van Zyl, Dane Vilas (wicketkeeper).
