Mysore: After a span of four years, people of Mysore and thousands of tourists  will get to see the daredevil stunts performed by Indian Air Force (IAF) men.

The IAF has confirmed its participation and the Dasara air show is scheduled on September 29 at Bannimantap grounds.

Confirming this to Deccan Chronicle, Mysore deputy commissioner C. Shikha said a 5-member technical team of IAF had visited Bannimantap grounds on Saturday and formally informed her  that IAF men will be performing the air show. However, it won’t be a full-fledged Dasara air show. The famed Surya Kiran and Sarang acrobatic teams will not be performing much to the disappointed of tourists. People will get to see the performance of the Akash Ganga squadron. A group of eight paratroopers will be sky diving from an Mi8 helicopter from an altitude of about 15,000 feet and land in the middle of the ground.

This apart, there will be a slithering operation, wherein the soldiers slither down the helicopter with the help of ropes and take positions as they do in real-life battle situations. Also, IAF helicopter will drop flowers from an altitude.
