Mumbai: Perhaps just as eagerly anticipated as the contestants who’ll be seen in a season of Bigg Boss is the house itself, where contestants are held in voluntary seclusion for the duration of the show. This season, the sets have been specially designed by Mary Kom director and popular set designer Omung Kumar, which we hear, will resemble a log house.

“The brief was to make the BB house look like a log cabin and extend the open house feel into the interiors. Elements like wood, stone and slate have been used to retain the earthy feel. We wanted to keep it raw, and yet make it look fun and quirky,” said Omung who has also designed the sets for Jhalak Dihhkla Jaa, Mahabharat and Comedy Nights With Kapil among others.

From the images that we saw, the walls have a three-dimensional look with ceilings of glass. The use of mannequins and décor presents a chic look. The confession room has numerous eyes that overlook a throne, reminding the housemates that everyone is watching over every move of the contestants. The pillars intensify the log house look. Lettering on the walls at the house is intended to make contestants ponder over their behaviour. Sources even tell us that there are artificial insects inside the bathroom for a jungle-like feel!
