Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam-led Andhra Pradesh government has decided to buy 7.5 lakh bicycles to distribute to girl students in the state, keeping in mind its election manifesto, in which it had promised bicycles to eighth, ninth and tenth standard girls, if they came to power.
The party’s election symbol, incidentally, is a bicycle.
According to the directions of AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, the finance department has already prepared a file and sent it to the CM for approval.
