Tirumala: Even when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants to minimise the inconvenience of the visitors of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, the temple administration set a new precedent by dedicating the ‘Garuda Seva’ to VVIPs for close to an hour on Tuesday night by ‘arranging’ a VVIP and VIP darshan for hundreds of VIPs.
The Common devotees were confined behind the high-rise barricades. While the first prerogative of the TTD especially during the Garuda Seva event should be to ensure that common devotees, who arrive in lakhs, are taken care of, the temple administration did just the opposite.
Besides, though the procession began an hour late, it was completed on time allowing more time to the VVIPs.
