New Delhi: A furious mob attacked three African students at a metro station in New Delhi. The three students were first inside the glass booth, which is supposed to be manned by a policeman, and then climbed on top of it to save themselves from the crowd.

The crowd was seen beating the three African students relentlessly with sticks on Sunday evening and a sea of mobile phones are seen filming the assault.

Nobody came to help the three African nationals, except for a few policemen who tried to intervene but soon walked away.

Reportedly, some people, who claim to be witnesses, said the Africans harassed a woman on the train, which angered the crowd. But police said the investigation so far has not revealed any kind of harassment and no police complaint has been filed about the same.

At one point, the crowd was also shouting slogans of "Bharat mata ki jai".

The attack ended after CISF personnel intervened and dispersed the crowd. Later, the students were taken to hospital.
