Brahmotsavam festival which drew lakhs of devotees to Tirumala concluded peacefully

Tirumala: The riches of Lord Venkateswara swelled further with the collections of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams during the nine-day long annual Brahmotsavam surpassing the collections of previous years.TTD Executive officer M.G. Gopal expressed happiness that the Brahmotsavam festival which drew lakhs of devotees to Tirumala from far and wide concluded peacefully without any untoward incidents whatsoever.
He complimented the TTD staff, vigilance and security sleuths, the cops and one and all who contributed for the successful and smooth conduct of the nine-day long spiritual splendour at Tirumala.
Shifting his focus to the record collections received by the TTD till Friday, Mr Gopal said that the Srivari Hundi including Arjitham and Vagapadi recorded a collection of Rs20.19 crore in comparison to Rs14.92 crore received last Brahmotsavam with an increase of 5.26 crore. Rs
The TTD EO said that as many as 5,40,278 devotees had the darshan of Lord Venkate-swara during the annual Brahmotsavam up to Friday. As many as 21,27,379 laddus were distributed to the devotees this Brahmots-avam while 18.84 lakh laddus were distributed last year, with an increase of 2.43 lakh laddus. The TTD recorded rental collections towards accommodation provided to the devotees to the tune of Rs1,45,82,660 as against Rs94,11,210 last year.
