Sheep with ‘Allah’ mark up for sale:

Thousands of people gathered at Toli Chowki to have a look at a sheep, which is said to have natural fur pattern in the shape of the word ‘Allah’ in Arabic. The owner of the sheep said that since Friday morning, close to 2,000 people have visited his farm to see the sheep that has been put up for auction. People kept coming till about 3 am, he said.

On Friday, the highest price quoted for the sheep was Rs 50,000, while it increased to Rs 70,000 by Saturday evening.

“I want to sell it for at least Rs 1 lakh. Therefore, I will hold on to it for some more time and then finalise the deal,” said Mirza Mujahed Baig, the owner.

The Mirza Farm, in Chevella, near Vikarabad, is probably the only farm in the city which sells sheep imported from Canada, Australia and China. This apart, some sheep also come from Kashmir, Madurai, Agra and other parts of India. Australian variety is the most expensive.
