Puducherry Governor, CM greet people on Bakrid
CM appealed to the people to promote love, charitable instincts
Puducherry: Puducherry Lt Governor, Lt General (retired) A.K. Singh Sunday greeted the people of the Union territory on Eid-al Adha. He said the festival, known as the feast of sacrifice, holds a special place in the hearts of the Muslim community.
Singh added, "It is one of the most significant and joyous festivals that teaches all to have an undying and unquestioning faith in the benevolence of God."
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy said Bakrid marked the virtue of sacrifice. He appealed to the people to promote love, charitable instincts, peace, humane qualities and equality. Welfare minister P Rajavelu, PCC president A.V. Subramanian, senior Congress leader and former Union minister V. Narayanasamy and a host of leaders of different political parties also greeted the people.
